Ensuring the future of Minnesota FarmHouse
Investing in the Minnesota Chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity will ensure that we continue our success as the “Best Fraternity” on either campus at the University of Minnesota.
FarmHouse has meant different things to every young man who has graced the halls of our fraternity. For you, it may have been gathering up the courage to ask a young lady to a date party; grilling out on a Sunday after church; building a homecoming float; learning that as a part of a brotherhood, you have to do your part to be successful; doing quarterly skits; having dance lessons in the parlor or chapter room; actively participating in weekly meetings in the house; learning leadership skills; having a scholarship night; celebrating the winning of cup; conversations with good friends; and many other activities that built the “Man” that each of us is today.
Think back to YOUR time at FarmHouse. What does FarmHouse mean to you, and your growth as a person?
For many years, the men of the Minnesota FarmHouse chapter have talked about what we should do with our Chapter house. After careful consideration the decision has been made to replace our current Chapter house with a new one. The Association appointed a building committee. The building committee has put together an advisory committee to help in decision making and fundraising.
Unfortunately, for several reasons, the current house is not competitive with housing alternatives on campus and throughout the University of Minnesota community: The Chapter house has numerous facility issues that must be addressed, and those matters will be expensive to correct. The physical condition of the Chapter house is a detriment to recruiting potential members. For future generations of young men to benefit from the FarmHouse Experience, and to Ensure the Legacy of Minnesota FarmHouse, we need a house that is attractive, functional and up-to-date structurally that will attract young men to live, work and enjoy life through the FarmHouse Experience.
The work of building FarmHouse Men continues on through each and every one of us today. The question: “Are we willing to give that same FarmHouse experience to future generations of young men by contributing to this building project?”
“Building Men” doesn’t happen by accident. It is through the intentional efforts of other FarmHouse men that young men become FarmHouse Men.
You and I now have that choice to “be intentional” with our commitment to build a new Chapter house. With your support, we can have an AWESOME house to serve generations to come! This new FarmHouse will reflect our pride and dedication as FarmHouse Men!
Being a member of FarmHouse requires the sacrifice of Time, Pleasures & Comforts.
The active members of the Minnesota FarmHouse Chapter have pledged their support of the Minnesota FarmHouse Building Campaign: Each active member has pledged $10 per semester until the house is built. As former students, we all know that is a terrific commitment in the midst of the financial constraints and challenges of being a college student.
Our building committee and the Association are committed and steadfast in the pursuit of this goal. We have pledged our time, talent and treasure to the future of FarmHouse at the University of Minnesota!
We now seek the financial support of Minnesota FarmHouse alumni. Each of us—you and I—are critical to this endeavor. Each of us benefited from the FarmHouse Men who went before us. It is now our turn to step up and give back to FarmHouse. Our commitment will ensure the FarmHouse Experience we continue to enjoy will be there for future generations of FarmHouse Men!
Your commitment cannot be underestimated! Your contribution, your “Sacrifice of Treasure”, will impact the lives of FarmHouse Men for years to come.
